Planning Your Visit
When is Bago Maze & Wine open?
Bago is open daily from 9am–5pm, with last entry to the hedge maze at 4pm.
The Coffee Bar is open 10am–3pm and is closed on Tuesdays.
We are closed on Christmas Day.
Is there an entry fee to visit Bago?
No. General entry to Bago is free. You're welcome to visit the grounds, Cellar Door and picnic areas without purchasing maze entry.
You only pay for the experiences, food and drinks you choose to enjoy during your visit.
Do I need to book before visiting?
No. General visits don't require a booking and walk-ins are always welcome.
We recommend booking maze entry and grazing platters online for the best price and availability. Both can also be purchased at the Cellar Door on arrival, subject to availability.
Advance bookings are recommended for groups. Private functions and Tractor Shed hire must be booked in advance.
What are the maze entry prices?
Adult: $14.50
Child: $10.50
Family: $50 — 2 adults + 3 children
Under 5s: Free

Is my time in the maze limited?
No. Take your time and enjoy exploring the maze during opening hours. Your online booking time simply indicates when you plan to begin your visit.
Last maze entry is at 4pm, giving you time to explore before Bago closes at 5pm.
What happens if it rains?
Bago remains open in wet weather and the grounds and maze can still be enjoyed in the rain.
For visitor safety, the hedge maze will temporarily close during thunderstorms and reopen once conditions are safe.
Food, Wine & Picnics
Is food available at Bago?
Yes. We offer cheese, meat and grazing platters, kids' platters, plus light food, coffee and drinks from our Coffee Bar.
We recommend pre-ordering platters online for the best price and availability. Walk-in orders are also welcome, subject to availability.
Do you serve lunch?
We don't operate a traditional restaurant or lunch menu. Instead, you can enjoy grazing platters and light food from the Coffee Bar, or bring your own picnic to enjoy on the grounds.
Can I bring my own picnic?
Absolutely. You're welcome to bring your own food and enjoy a picnic in our outdoor grass and picnic areas.
Please note that BYO food cannot be consumed in our undercover seating areas, and we don't have BBQ facilities available.
Can I bring my own alcohol?
No. Bago is a licensed venue and BYO alcohol is not permitted.
Our Cellar Door offers our estate-grown Bago wines along with other drinks to enjoy during your visit.
Families, Accessibility & Dogs
Is Bago wheelchair and pram friendly?
Yes. The Bago grounds and hedge maze are wheelchair and pram friendly, with accessible toilets available.
We also have baby-change facilities, drinking water and plenty of shaded places to sit throughout the visitor areas.
If you have specific accessibility requirements, please contact us before your visit and we'll be happy to help you plan your day.
Is Bago suitable for young children?
Absolutely. Families are very welcome at Bago, with plenty of open space and the hedge maze to explore.
Children under five enter the maze free, and kids' platters and baby-change facilities are available.
Can I bring my dog to Bago?
Yes. Dogs are welcome on lead in our grass and picnic areas.
For the comfort and safety of all visitors, dogs are not permitted inside the hedge maze. Please keep your dog on lead throughout your visit and clean up after them.
Getting Here & Parking
Where is Bago Maze & Wine?
Bago Maze & Wine is located at 197 Lambs Road, Herons Creek NSW 2439, around 30 minutes from Port Macquarie on the Mid North Coast of NSW.
What is the road to Bago like?
The final 4km of the drive is along a well-maintained unsealed country road, suitable for standard vehicles and accessible in normal weather conditions.
Follow the signs off Bago Road, along Milligans road and then Lambs Road — you'll find Bago at the end.
Is parking available?
Yes. Parking is free and there is plenty of space available.
We also have turning room for larger vehicles and coaches, making Bago suitable for tour and group visits.
Is there a shuttle bus to Bago?
Bago doesn't operate a shuttle service. Visitors can travel by car, taxi or arrange transport through local tour and transport operators.
For group and coach visits, please contact us before your visit and we can help with planning.
Groups, Functions & Events
Can groups visit Bago?
Absolutely. We welcome social groups, tour groups, corporate groups and larger gatherings.
Advance bookings are recommended for groups so we can help you plan your visit and any maze, tasting or food experiences you'd like to include.
Can I hire the Tractor Shed for a private function?
Yes. The Tractor Shed is Bago's private function space, available for celebrations, meetings, corporate days and small daytime events.
The space can accommodate up to 60 guests, with seating for up to 45.
All Tractor Shed functions must be booked in advance.
Can you host weddings?
Yes. Bago can host small daytime weddings and celebrations in the Tractor Shed for up to 60 guests.
External catering can be arranged, while alcoholic drinks must be purchased through Bago as we are a licensed venue.

When is live music at Bago?
We regularly host live music and seasonal events throughout the year.

Wine & Staying at Bago
Can I taste Bago wines during my visit?
Yes. Visit our Cellar Door to discover Bago's estate-grown wines and enjoy a wine tasting during your visit.
Wine tastings can be booked online in advance or arranged at the Cellar Door, subject to availability. Advance bookings are recommended for groups.
Can I tour the winery?
We don't currently offer guided winery tours, but visitors are welcome to explore the vineyard areas open to the public during business hours and discover our wines through a Cellar Door tasting.
Can I buy Bago wine to take home?
Yes. Our wines are available from the Cellar Door and selected wines can also be purchased through our online shop.
Can I stay overnight at Bago?
Yes. Mountain View Camp at Bago offers camping on our working family farm, surrounded by open countryside and mountain views.
Camping must be booked in advance through our Hipcamp listing.
